Piotr Staroń, Advocate, is the founder and Managing Partner of Staroń & Partners. Previously he managed for over eight years the court and arbitration practice at Wolf Theiss, an international law firm. He also worked in Squire Sanders Wiater sp. k. and Beiten Burkhardt P. Daszkowski sp. k.
He advised First Title, Polimex-Mostostal, Real, Baltona, Flemingo Duty Free, Eastbridge, Immobel, Polkomtel, Domy Towarowe Centrum, Mostostal Puławy, Icon Capital and Eiffage among others. Piotr Staroń is experienced in providing advisory for public administration. He acted as legal counsel for the Legal and Legislative Office of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, advising in court disputes and participating in legislative works of the Sejm for the Chancellery.
His previous professional experience includes positions in the Legal Office and Property Management Office of Warsaw City Hall, where he handled court proceedings regarding properties and liability for administrative decisions. He advised commercial ventures of the City of Warsaw – e.g. “Construction of the National Stadium”, “Wilanów Town Hall”, “Stołeczne Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej”, “Świetokrzyska Route”. He also represented the Mayor of Warsaw in proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights in a case concerning property restitution claims related to the Warsaw Decree.
He graduated from Łódź University. He is a translator of English and speaks German and Russian. Licensed as a coach.
Katarzyna Fabiszewska is legal counsel specialising in real estate law and property-related disputes. She has experience in the area of investment in terms of transaction and administrative processes, in matters relating to land development, building permits, historic preservation as well as perpetual usufruct and transformation of perpetual usufruct into ownership.
She graduated from Warsaw University and has postgraduate qualifications in real estate agency. She speaks English.
Krystyna Żbikowska is a 3rd year trainee advocate at the Warsaw Bar. She specialises in court proceedings in the field of civil law and labour law. She has broad experience inter alia in disputes concerning real estate, legal liability of the State Treasury and information obligations of public companies towards the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. Her professional interests also comprise labour law disputes.
She graduated from Warsaw University. She speaks English.
Urszula Comi is a PhD student at the Department of International Private and Trading Law at Warsaw University.
She is dedicated – both academically and practically – to court and arbitration proceedings, legal services for companies and matters of private international law.
She graduated from Warsaw University and the University of Poitiers, and was awarded a Master’s by the French Law Centre at Warsaw University. She also received a scholarship award from the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding achievements in academic year 2012/2013.
She represented Warsaw University in the 22nd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot; her team reached the finals and ranked in the top 10% worldwide.
She speaks English.
