My daughter sent me an essay to read. I didn’t write any during my studies. Apparently, writing essays makes a lot of competence. In my humble opinion, however, the legal culture resource is extremely higher (than 25 years ago), when you consider only the number of doctoral dissertations that appear in Poland, much less – the QUALITY of these hearings. I sometimes look at publishing publications and am impressed by how many very good and sensational publications there are (judging only by how much useful and clearly lined knowledge can be found in them). This is a great advantage if a legal publication can be read with interest.

I think it is difficult today to find a publication that does not meet this criterion. And yet it is impossible to write about the law as thrillingly as P. Jasienica about history. “Polska Piastów”, “Polska Jagiellonów” and “Rzeczpospolita Obojga Nations” beat H. Sienkiewicz on the head. From what I read, perhaps only Mr. Johnson caused me the same amount of emotion when I read his ” History of the World”, “History of the Jews” and “History of the English” (that was 30 years ago).

The first sentence of “World History” was so different that I remember them all the time and I no longer went to sleep for two nights until I finished reading. I don’t know if I would have judged that anyway today. There is no time for this!
