With T. Kotabiński’s book “The Treatise on Good Work”, I came across the primary school: I learned the word “praxeology” – the science of EFFECTIVE ACTION. The book has more than 600 pages and is talked about in a way typical of the philosopher. If the book had been written by Mr Tsunetomo, it would have no more than 40 pages, it would have been strong, full of examples and funny. Despite these flaws, this book is excellent: it defines what a PRACTICAL ERROR is, i.e. a movement that distances us from the goal instead of bringing it closer to it. The final conclusions of T. Kotarbiński already write in the samurai style of Y. Tsunetomo:

“PRACTICAL ERROR is a counter-purpose movement. Whoever, for example, has sent (missed) the time limit for appealing against a judgment has been given, loses the right to protest and must pay the sum indicated in the judgment. It is therefore difficult not to regard forgetful ments as practical errors, since they are sometimes severely affected.”

“… FIVE is probably the main SOURCES of practical errors:
(A) sluggism,
(B) lack of strength,
(C) lack of skill,
(D) automatism of complex movements,
(F) faulty discernment.

And FIVE is the main directions of effort to avoid practical mistakes:
(A) spare no effort,
(B) take care of maintaining strength,
(C) practice yourself,
(D) be more careful,
(E) gain more and more perfect knowledge.”
