Extension

In “Django,” Dr. Schulz explains to Mr. Bennet who Django is: “Within the limits of good taste, Django must be treated as if IT WERE AN EXTENSION of myself.” A witness saw me as his own extension. This witness testified about the technical defects of the installation. In addition to these defects, there were other disadvantages of OTHER INSTALLATIONS, of which this witness knew nothing concrete, but – as an employee – he knew in general that the process also applies to other installations.

Obtaining information from a witness was difficult: the witness was over 70 years old and presented the facts chaotically. During the hearing by the other side, the witness was led out of balance by his lawyer. Moreover, he could not explain and put together what he was saying.

The witness himself sensed that his testimony would hurt the case more than it would serve. Then he began to defend what he testified in this way that the defendant is a bad company at all and has a problem not only with this particular installation, but also with others. And the witness accosted the lawyer: “And if you want to, then we will easily prove it all, including these other flaws.” So the lawyer asked the witness, “Yes? And what other installations and other disadvantages?” Then the witness turned to me and testified,”Mr. Patron, what were the disadvantages?”
