For many years my passion is books. If I wasn’t a lawyer, I could be a bookseller. There is also a cinema and a theater. After years you can see which books and which writers do not cease to fascinate. I will mention only some. There is nothing original here: mostly school readings.

The second writer I discovered after Conrad – chronologically – was Dostoyevsky. Third G. Herling Grudziński. He should receive the Nobel Prize. Fourth Franz Kafka. Fifth Orwell and Dickens. Wyspianski – “November Night”. Then Hłasko. Then Màrquez. Then Cortazar. Hunting – “Treatise on bean shelling”. Thomas Mann. Siegfried Lenz: “Sweet Sulejki”. Bulgarian “Master and Malgorzata”. Christa Wolf -“Cassandra und andäre Erzehlungen”. Stefan Zweig- “Nackt unter Wölfen”. I.B. Singer. Janusz Głowacki. J. Czapski. J. Pilch. S. Lem. Witkowski. Tsunetomo “Hagakure”. Kenkō “Records for Killing Time”. Shakespeare. F. Pessoa. Martin Buber “The Hasidic Tales.” Many others. At the top continues: J. Ch. Andresen “Snow Queen” and “Tinder” and Gombrowicz: “Diaries”, “Cosmos” and “Wedding”. The wedding is the highest. I read all gombrowicz’s books and watched a lot in the theater. “Wedding” in Jaracz in Łódź. “Cosmos” 2 times. Once with Zapasiewicz. Who has not seen Gombrowicz in the theater does not know who Gombrowicz is.
