Who is left

A particularly sympathetic and competent German Engineer taught me the principles to perpetuate in writing (in an email) the rationale behind our joint decisions, which showed that in the procedural letter we present something in one way or another or which we do not present at all.

Therefore, after each meeting and after each phone call, he demanded that I send him an email that would contain a note of what we had determined and why we had done SO just and not differently. At first, I was wondering why I was taking notes of things that seemed obvious to me. So I said that this is SELBSTVERSTANDLICH (understood by itself) and that of course we will do so, so for this circumstance we do not need to take any notes. Then the Engineer explained to me every time Udo Lindenberg’s voice let go of the smoke billowing from the cigarette:
– “Herr Sztaroń est IST selbsverstandlich, ABER WER SCHREIBT DER BLEIBT”.
